MK-K9 strives to improve the genetic quality of the working line German Shepherd.
MK-K9 also strives to enhance our knowledge of animal biology and genetics. Our founder, Melissa Kohl was accepted into the Animal Science program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Melissa is dedicated to focusing on enhancing her knowledge in Animal Genetics, Animal Management, Animal Breeding, Animal Nutrition, and much more.
Our intent is to provide the highest of standards in our program and to share such knowledge to our clients and dog owners worldwide.
THE TEAM
Our founder, Melissa Kohl was in the military for 10 years. She went on a deployment to Afghanistan, where she found her love and passion for working dogs. Since then, Melissa has grown her passion for working dogs. She went through an explosive detection course, and began her training in Schutzhund. She chose the working line German Shepherd after she received her first service dog, Holly. She began her dedication to improving the genetic quality of the German Shepherd in 2018 and has dedicated her life to it.
